A Message from our President

"Shaping People, Shaping Business"

Welcome to Alpha Kappa Psi, the oldest and largest business fraternity in the world!

With over 298,000 members in over 265 universities, Alpha Kappa Psi has made its mark as the premier developer of principled business leaders worldwide. The Chi Gamma Chapter here at UCSC is a diverse network of like-minded individuals who are passionate about our future career prospects. To this end, we offer a variety of professional development resources to our brother through workshops, conferences, and our amazing alumni network. What I as President am most proud about is not only our commitment to academic and career excellence, but the unwavering bonds we have created with our brothers which will be relationships we will treasure long after graduating.

Whether you are a prospective rushee, treasured alumni, or corporate partner, I invite you to explore what the Chi Gamma Chapter has to offer!

With all my best,

The Alpha Kappa Psi Chi Gamma Chapter was established on June 1st, 2018 thanks to the founding brothers who worked tirelessly to establish the chapter. Since then our chapter has worked hard to develop a unique and genuine brotherhood. As the only professional co-ed business fraternity at UCSC to accept all majors, we pride ourselves in the diverse network we have built here on campus.

Shaping people, shaping business—this is not just any old mantra, it is the tagline that embodies Alpha Kappa Psi. Our brothers have worked hard to host professional development events, attend leadership conferences, and build connections to internship opportunities. The skills that they have developed here at the Chi Gamma chapter have helped them become principled business leaders working at many of the nation’s leading firms.

Fraternity History

Alpha Kappa Psi was started by the ten founding fathers, but it was the Brooklyn four who put it all into action with their late night meetings after attending classes at New York University. They were nicknamed the “Brooklyn Four” because they would meet in lower Broadway and then have to walk back to their homes across the Brooklyn Bridge each night. The Brooklyn Four drafted a constitution that lead to the fraternity’s establishment in October of 1904. It was officially incorporate a few months later in May of 1905. Once that honor was granted to them, Alpha Kappa Psi officially became an official fraternity.
